For the third consecutive year, UVLD’s Jeff Nellis was tapped to light the VidCon show at the Anaheim Convention Center Arena. This year Jeff worked with programming wizard Kevin Lawson to bring the show to life. The show is a fast paced and fun mashup of online talent including singers, dancers, comedians, interviews, online personalities, and more. This year’s lineup included Matt Steffanina, The Leroy Sanchez Band, Dan Howell, Gabbie Hanna, Nia Sioux, Annie LeBlanc, the cast of the YouTube original series Liza on Demand, the Try Guys and RuPaul’s Drag Race in an epic lip sync battle, the cast of Disney’s upcoming Descendants 3 performing a high energy dance production number, and so much more.

The show is led by producers Gerardo Lopez of Galore Productions and Ryan Cole of VidCon, and sponsored by YouTube. As in recent years we collaborated heavily with our awesome partner Abigail Holmes of NYXdesign, who served as lighting designer for the YouTube Onstage event, also in the arena.

Staffing included production electrician Timothy Donovan, assistant electrician James King, and technical direction by Nathan Parsell. Lighting equipment was supplied by PRG, with special thanks to Eric Hanson and Jon Morrell. UVLD’s Matthew Piercy programmed for Abigail Holmes on the YouTube Onstage show.
