08.28.16 Stella & Dot 2016
Boutique-style accessories company Stella & Dot held its annual Hoopla convention at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, FL in July. UVLD’s David Rees was invited to provide Lighting Design and Programming services for the project by the event production group at Webb Production.
Michelle Morin acted as Production Electrician, and Peter Jones from Webb Production was the Technical Director. The show was produced by Brian Sharp of CMS. The Hoopla is both an opportunity for Stella & Dot stylists to meet and train, but it’s also where a fashion show debuts the upcoming season’s collection. Taking place on a 70-foot runway with a satellite stage, the fashion show is the focus of the opening session. Footage from the fashion show is used for promotional purposes throughout the year. Smooth lighting and a sparkle to the jewelry were critical. A combination of multiple angle lighting and footlighting by Color Force 12 fixtures was used to achieve this goal. Stella & Dot favors a clean look without the use of haze. An elegant set from 3Sixty Scenery provided all the canvas needed to create a variety of looks for the event.
Equipment was provided by Larry Thomas of Christie Lites.
UVLD is excited to continue our creative partnership with our friends at Webb Production.
