01.20.23 Pennsylvania Governor’s Inaugural Celebration
UVLD was thrilled to be invited by Production Glue to light the Innagural Ball for Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro. UVLD’s Greg Cohen served as lighting designer with Matthew Piercy as programmer. Trevor Gooch was head electrician, and 4 Wall provided the equipment.
The special event took place in a special place, the Rock Lititz campus, in studio one. An “arena without seats” to quote 4 Wall’s Bob Looney, the venue allows great flexibility for productions and is typically used to rehearse large national touring acts. For this project, Production Glue created an immersive environment that featured live performances by Mt. Joy, Smokey Robinson, Meek Mill, and Wiz Khalifa.
“This project was an absolute pleasure,” notes Cohen, “Production Glue always puts together a great team, but having 4 Wall literally across the street with their never-ending support made it easy to adapt to changes and pull off a great show.”
“Matthew did an amazing job running with the input from the artists,” Cohen adds. “and the Governor has great taste in music, so we had a great time.”
