UVLD’s Cameron Yeary recently spent some time developing new tech and interactive ideas for LED floors.
In the video below, you can see a simple proof of concept showing a weight sensing interactive LED floor that can take interaction based on stepping on different panels. Each panel has a pressure sensor that allows content producers to design interactivity in very direct ways. This tech can be used with objects as light as basketballs or as heavy as large trucks.
“I’m always excited when I get time to develop and work on new ideas to push the creative bounds for shows,” Yeary said. “Not all R&D ventures pan out, so I was glad to see this concept come to life. It’s important and rewarding to make additions to the never-ending bag of tricks in your pocket that help producers with new and amazing ways to be creative and bring interesting ideas to their clients.”
