06.06.16 ASEA 2016 Global Convention
UVLD’s Paul Sharwell was asked by Webb Audio Visual to serve as Lighting Designer for the ASEA 2016 Global Convention at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center. David Haar joined Paul as Production Electrician. The lighting package was supplied by 4Wall and supplemented by PRG in Orlando. Natalie Peay produced the show for Webb AV.
ASEA is a network marketing company based in Salt Lake City. Their products include nutritional supplements and skin products. The event brought together corporate staff, sponsored athletes and sales associates from around the world under one roof. Highlights included the launch of a new advanced skin care system and an appearance by retired founder, Verdis Norton.
Paul was excited to help the creative team transform the hall not once but twice. A powerful opening experience led into three days of business meetings, with a night of entertainment and awards. On the final night, when the business was done it was time to party. After a frantic changeover, the room was transformed from a no-nonsense business meeting to a superhero themed party replete with animations, contests and elaborate costuming. “Transforming the room for the party was like doing a second load-in with a four hour time window. Dave Haar did a great job at making it all happen for us,” said Sharwell.
The lighting gear consisted of 50 source 4 ellipsoidals, 4 9-lites, 18 Clay Paky Sharpy, 20 Martin Mac Aura, 10 Martin Mac Viper, 4 Mac 250 Wash, 26 Color Force 72, 11 Color Force 48, 24 Colorblast 12, 8 Geyser RGB and 2 Radiance Hazers all driven by an MA Lighting GrandMA 2 control system.
UVLD is excited to continue our creative partnership with the great team at Webb AV.
