06.16.16 Live Design Awards Ceremony 2016

Live Design honored people, projects, and products that exemplify the best in entertainment design and technology at an awards ceremony, sponsored by Elation Professional, at Upper Story by Charlie Palmer on June 13. Live Design awarded its annual Products of the Year, where panels of professional designers selected the best in new lighting, projection, and sound equipment. The Excellence In Live Design Awards recognize the best projects from January to December 2015 as voted by their online readers.

We were honored to receive the Excellence Award in the Theatre Performance category for The Gift Of Christmas at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Texas. A reimagined show was designed under UVLD designer Matt Webb.  Greg Norgeot provided technical direction, with Cameron Yeary serving as visual media developer. Branden Roth programmed the media onsite, with Matt Webb staying on as lighting director.

This production featured an all new show deck and a 150′-wide video surface of 16 panels that tracked in pairs for varying configurations, revealing and accompanying a 350-strong choir. Larry Brubaker, executive producer, Andy Pearson, creative director, and Matt Webb accepted the award, presented by Marian Sandberg.
